This summer, we were lucky enough to pick up some delicious deliveries from Tree-Ripe. We bought peaches at the beginning of the summer (and made awesome recipes like Peach Pancakes and Sangria) and blueberries near the end of the summer. I took a ton of blueberries and froze them to use during the cold months.
For the past couple months, we’ve been getting deliveries from Brewers Organics, an amazing local service in Milwaukee that delivers fresh organic produce and other goods to your door as frequently as once per week. I’ll probably write a whole post about them later, but for now, I wanted to talk about this week. We […]
Sometimes, small tweaks can revive an old recipe. In this case, I turned a recipe I made last summer into a slightly different recipe featuring a couple different baking ingredients. With this new year, I give you a facelift of a previous recipe: vegan cranberry pecan chocolate chip muffins.
The Polar Vortex is definitely moving back in. Well, technically, I guess it never left. That weird fog in the summer was a result of our lingering frosty friend.
I know I just posted a pancake recipe, but these were so delicious, I had to share them. We had some very ripe bananas at home, and there was a tie between banana bread and pancakes for breakfast, so I figured, why not make banana bread pancakes?

Ah, Mother’s Day. That time of year when moms around the country get flowers, perfume, bath kits, and all that other typical mom stuff they can’t avoid. I always try to give my mom something a little different, because how many decorative soaps can you really need? This year, I got her some great accompaniments […]
I can’t even think about what my childhood would have been like without peanut butter bars. They were at every bake sale, every sleepover, every cookout. For some reason, I equate peanut butter bars with childhood. In fact, the last time I had a peanut butter bar was definitely sometime during my childhood. I haven’t […]
It feels really funny to post this right after two blog posts about DietBet, but, oh well! My friend had a birthday, so that’s the way the brownie crumbles.
