I know I just posted a pancake recipe, but these were so delicious, I had to share them. We had some very ripe bananas at home, and there was a tie between banana bread and pancakes for breakfast, so I figured, why not make banana bread pancakes?
Before processing the 25 pounds of peaches a couple weekends ago, we set a few aside to make some peach pancakes. This recipe follows the same structure and instructions as the Banana Granola Pancakes, but I substituted light coconut milk for soymilk as I felt it would complement the peaches better – almost a peaches […]
It’s strawberry season in Wisconsin! It arrived a little late this year, but the time has finally come to pick berries and put them in everything imaginable.
The first time my mom ever bought me crumpets, I’m pretty sure I was going through an anglophile phase, which I’m pretty sure was brought on by the Spice Girls and that British shop in Door County we visited every year. I got candy there that was so sweet, it should have been illegal.
Ah, Mother’s Day. That time of year when moms around the country get flowers, perfume, bath kits, and all that other typical mom stuff they can’t avoid. I always try to give my mom something a little different, because how many decorative soaps can you really need? This year, I got her some great accompaniments […]

In this Polar Vortex, I had to make another steel-cut oats recipe. I’ve got a pretty large repertoire as it is, but variety is the slice of life. It was surprising to me that I haven’t done banana nut oats yet. These came out tasting similar to banana bread, or the monkey salad I love […]
Earlier last year, I posted to Immaculate Baking to let them know that I love their products and that I’ve used their crescent rolls to make a few different dishes (including Vegan Wellingtons and these yummy dessert wraps). They were so pleased to hear that they sent me a book of coupons, which allowed me […]
It’s been a while since I posted a steel-cut oats recipe, but it’s been so cold lately, I couldn’t resist making a batch! If you’re unfamiliar with how I make steel-cut oats for a week’s worth of breakfasts, check out this post to find out more.
To make up for the decadence of my last recipe (14 tablespoons of butter, who was I kidding?) here’s a “healthy” muffin recipe with lots of wheat flour, flaxseed meal, and if you want, chocolate chips. Let’s not go overboard with the health, it’s not quite time for resolutions.
