This one’s really easy and really tasty, and it only requires three ingredients (besides water). Here’s what you need:
Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cups steel cut oats
- 4 cups water
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- ¼ cup brown sugar
Directions
Put 4 cups of water into a pot and throw in the steel cut oats. Heat until boiling, and then cook for about 5 minutes. Near the end, add the maple syrup and brown sugar and make sure it’s evenly distributed. I like to cook the oats until there’s not much water left, but you can also leave the oats to cook on the counter. Spoon evenly into five 8 oz. containers, leave them to continue cooking overnight, and throw in the fridge in the morning.
