Now that I’m in my Whole30 it’s almost hard to talk about “normal” food that I had before it, but I wanted to make sure I mentioned how much I love this product before I forget to put it on here.
I’ve said repeatedly on blogs, my two most favorite vegan cheese brands are Daiya and Teese, but I never tried Daiya’s shredded cheddar on so many dishes until just recently. The shredded vegan cheese melts so easily and tastes so pleasant, I couldn’t resist working it into several meals during one week’s time.
The first thing I used it on was a baked potato, which you can see in the image above. It was perfect with some vegan sour cream and broccoli, just like I used to get at 1 Potato 2 when I was a kid (anyone else remember that place?)
I also used it for a grilled cheese that I ate with butternut squash soup that I reviewed, put it in a quesadilla for an easy and quick dinner, and sprinkled it on zucchini tarts after my epic cream pie fail.
So really, what I’m trying to say is that Daiya shredded cheddar is really versatile. I ran out of cheese before I ran out of ideas, which is always the way I’d like these things to work. After my Whole30, it will return to my fridge as a regular feature. Guaranteed.
