I’m not talking about those crummy chocolate samplers or those chalky conversation hearts, though, those are all pretty gross. Make Valentine’s Day your excuse to splurge on some really quality candy.
I subscribe to this awesome program that any girl with a “time of the month” should join – HelloFlo. Not only do they deliver tampons or pads to your door (and they offer an ORGANIC package), they also supply treats for when you have those sugary, chocolatey cravings.
Lately they’ve included a lot of vegan- and allergy-friendly goodies, and just the other day, I got some ridiculously tasty Cocomels with my order. They’re made with coconut, and they come either naked (I got the naked originals shipped to me) or dipped in chocolate.
While I haven’t tried all the flavors yet, I intend to order some soon. I find myself thinking about these caramels when I’m not around them. They’re not too high in calories, only 40 per piece for the originals, and all of the ingredients are ones you’d recognize. They’re vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free, and are the perfect combination of chewy and creamy. I’m afraid I’m hooked.
If you’ve looked for good dairy-free caramels, I’m sure you’d agree they’re a little hard to find, so I was overjoyed to be surprised with these. Buy them for your sweetie, or heck, buy them for yourself. You deserve it.
