I almost considered calling this blog: “The Dairy-Free State Root Canal Recipes.” I just had a root canal this morning, and am planning on not chewing for the next four days. I decided to scour my pantry and make a smoothie that fed my sweet tooth but wouldn’t be completely unhealthy. I was in the mood for a peanut butter cup and had a frozen mango and fresh bananas, so this recipe was born!
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 1 frozen mango
- 1/2 cup dairy-free milk
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
Directions
Start by pouring in the dairy-free milk, and add all the other ingredients on top. Blend until smooth. If blending is difficult, you might need to turn off the blender and move some of the fruit around or add more milk. Who needs Reese’s when you can have this awesome smoothie?
