I’m hoping to do quite a few of these in the summer. It’s hot outside, you’re busy doing things, and you don’t have time to make complicated food. It doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice taste.
This hummus will take about 4 minutes to make, and about as long to clean up afterwards. So, you can have delicious hummus and clean dishes in under 10 minutes. Sound good? Let’s get started.
What you need:
- A food processor
- Juice from 1 lemon
- ¼ cup tahini
- Can of chickpeas (15 oz)
- Minced garlic – however many you want, I did 3 but I like mine really garlicky. Start with 1 and see how you like it.
- Olive oil – for mixing in and topping
- Cumin & salt
- Paprika
Directions
First, mix the lemon juice and tahini together for 10-15 seconds or until combined. Then throw in the chickpeas (make sure to drain and rinse first), minced garlic, a couple tablespoons of olive oil, and a few shakes of cumin & salt, and mix until smooth.
Spoon into a bowl and drizzle a little more olive oil over the top. Top with a wee bit of paprika and you’ve got picture-perfect hummus.
That’s it. Easy, right?
