I’ve got a quick recipe that should get you over this mid-week hump. I talked about this recipe way back when, when I did the Whole30. On Monday, I started cutting out sugar (more on that in a future post). This recipe Monkey Salad is good for anyone looking for a sweet treat that is free of added sugar!
This recipe has been posted all over the place because of Whole30, but I found it first on Good Cheap Eats.
Ingredients & Directions
All you need is a sliced banana, unsweetened coconut flakes, and cashews. Add the banana and about a handful each of coconut and cashews in a bowl and enjoy.
That’s it! I’ll be sharing a post soon about why I’m going sugar-free, and hopefully offer more recipes like this, in future posts. I have a few in the queue that will contain sugar. Once I get through those, I’ll fill you in more on some of the things I’ve been doing lately.
Got any easy, sugar-free meals you want to share? Send them to dairyfreestate@gmail.com and I’ll share them in a guest post!

Great snack idea! Will make soon
I don’t know if you can have maple syrup on whole30, but another good 3 ingredient “dessert” is unsweetened coconut (Shredded)+coconut oil+maple syrup…mix, press into a pan, freeze and eat cut into squares.
