Remember when Lifehacker was all the rage? I mean, I know it’s still popular, but I feel like there was a time when you couldn’t avoid a Lifehacker article, or one from a competitor website. Now content like that has shifted to videos that you can find on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, or really, any social media platform. And why wouldn’t they spread? We all love knowing how to do things an easier way. I can’t even tell you how many different methods I’ve seen for cutting a mango. Even Kevin Bacon is getting in on the kitchen hacks!
So, when I was approached by Redfin to share one of my favorite kitchen hacks, I jumped at the chance. They ended up sharing tips from tons of bloggers in all different categories, so you’ll get more than just my favorite tips. Some of my favorites from the list included:
- Organizing your kitchen using clear containers – We all hate rummaging around in opaque containers trying to figure out what we bought, right? And half of the time, we forget what we have if it’s not staring us in the face every time we open the fridge or pantry.
- Fill a bowl on your countertop with fruit – I’m all about grab and go, and I know that if I have healthy food visible, I’m more likely to grab it.
- Start your day with a smoothie – Although I am kind of a sourdough fanatic, on mornings when I’m not feeling the need for toast, I’ll make a smoothie. Heck, I make smoothies for lunch or snacks as well, but starting the morning with one does give you that fresh, I did something healthy for myself first thing feeling.
- And my tip – Cook without an exact plan – You’ll have to read the details about that on the blog itself 😉
So, go over to Redfin and give their blog a read. I was so happy they reached out to interview me, and I hope the tips are useful to you as well!

Hi,
As a personal trainer, I think it’s never too late to turn your health hopes into habits.
I always encourage folks to focus on small changes that fit into their existing lifestyle, rather than a complete overhaul. What matters most is that you form a healthy habit rather than have one great week or month.
Can I write an article for you with advice on developing healthy habits? I can feature your website as well. I’m building my writing portfolio and would love the opportunity to have an article on your website.
Thank you so much, and I hope to hear from you soon!
