Every year, this day serves as a reminder to be more mindful of our impact on the planet, and I use it as a day to reflect and think about things I could do differently to live more sustainably and harmoniously with the only home we’ve got. This year, I want to focus on bulk.
Now, I’m not talking Sam’s Club. I’m talking about bulk bins. Those walls filled with grains and other dry goods, perhaps most of which you’ve never used before. Bulk bins are like treasure chests – there are new adventures waiting for you in every bin, and while it can be daunting, choosing from them can also help create future favorite recipes.
However, because I’m well aware that it’s scary to buy from bulk bins without a plan, I’ll be offering recipes for different items in a new series of blogs called, “Adventures in the Bulk Bins.” It will be a growing repository of blogs for those items you may not use all that often yet, but I’m hoping it will expand my recipe repertoire and yours.
You will be able to find a full list of them on the “resources” page, and they will all be filed under “Tips and Tricks.”
Stay tuned, there will be lots more to come.
