A nice idea of something to do when I could get around to it. I had no idea that five months after it started, it would become such an important part of my life.
This past weekend was very exciting for me. I welcomed in 25 and participated in the Milwaukee Vegan Bake Sale at the Urban Ecology Center. If you missed it, don’t worry, there’ll be another one in the fall. I also spent some time planning out what I’m hoping to achieve in the next year, and let me tell you, it’s been fun to plot and plan.
To the people that have told me one-on-one that this blog has meant something to them, thank you. I’ve worked on it so hard for you. I want to hear from you. I want to know what you want this blog to be. If it isn’t useful to you, it’s not worth writing about.
There are lots of great things you can all look forward to in the months to come. First off, I’m hoping on starting a book club for like-minded individuals who want to cook and read (for more information, please email me at dairyfreestate@gmail.com).
I’ll also be featuring more interviews from companies and Wisconsin-based businesses. If you are someone that would like to have a chat with me and appear in a blog, or have favorite brands you want to see featured here, let me know.
On top of the normal recipes and “Tips and Tricks” I offer, there will also be some guides and e-books coming out soon. You’ll be able to get them for free with just your email (whatta deal!) I also have plans to put a cookbook together and some other great merch.
This has been a really exciting start to 2013 and the first couple days of 25 have been great so far. It’s exciting to think what Dairy-Free State will accomplish by the time 26 rolls around.
Again, thank you for being loyal readers, for coming back early and often to read the latest, and for telling all your friends. It means more to me than you realize.
