As I previously mentioned, at any given time, I have no less than 8 varieties of tea in my house, and that’s putting it pretty conservatively. I love getting teas from Rishi, Fava Tea, and other local sellers, but I’ve started to make some of my own varieties over the past year, tweaking the amounts to get them just how I like them.
One of my favorite teas is my homemade turmeric ginger tea, which is my attempt at replicating Rishi’s turmeric ginger tea. Another favorite is a mix between Aveda’s comforting tea and Fava’s detox tea. I took a stab at combining them into my own homemade comforting tea.
Making your own herbal tea is a snap – just mix together the ingredients and tweak as needed to suit your taste. If you’re looking to save money on ingredients, start with the first four. You’ll get a delicious outcome without all of the extras. I am inclined to say the extras are worth the effort, though.
