Please check out my disclosure policy for more details! This past week, we took on the challenge of drinking only real beverages for the week – this meant only coffee, tea, water, one glass of juice and the occasional wine. The challenge definitely went better for me than it did for my fiance.
He’s not a wine fan and wanted to drink beer during the challenge, but I decided to persevere. I had one slip-up at the beginning of the week (we forgot that stevia wasn’t allowed after Steve already prepared my coffee) and we had a wedding on the weekend, but I stuck to wine to be true to the challenge, although I drank white instead of red. All in all, it was a good reminder that the sugar-free sweeteners aren’t great for us, and I started adding a bit of honey in my coffee. I liked it so much that I might stay off of stevia for a while. So, baby steps, I guess!
Week 5 is going to be a piece of cake for us. No fast food or deep-fried food. I don’t know how many years it’s been since I’ve had fast food, and we rarely eat deep-fried food, so maybe we’ll think of a little extra challenge to throw in to make it a bit trickier. If we do, I’ll let you know what we decide.
4 weeks down. Many more to come!
